Medical Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliating treatment. The treatment provides a gentle form of dermabrasion to the superficial layers of the epidermis. The procedure assists in the reduction of open, blocked, and enlarged pores as well as smoothing fine facial lines and areas of irregularity. It also promotes lymphatic drainage. The skin becomes vibrant and healthy, and a softer, smoother appearance is noted. This is suitable for most skin types and usually takes about 1 hour. The microdermabrasion instrument used at The Aesthetic Clinique traps all the exfoliated skin for client inspection, if desired.
